Nestled down a quiet lane in the picturesque village of Pulham Market, Hunnypot Cottage offers a warm welcome and cosy base for your holiday.
Extensively refurbished, the cottage offers traditional features such as exposed timbers and steep, narrow staircases, coupled with oak flooring, well equipped modern kitchen, seperate dining room and well presented private garden with patio area, bar-b-que and bubbling hot tub.
There’s off-road parking, two pubs and a shop on the village green and loads of walks down the lanes, along footpaths and across fields.
*Please note that the cottage may present mobility issues for some – we have some low door-heads, stepped floors, narrow and spiralling staircases, two of which have no bannister. We have, however, accommodated hundreds of happy families over the years who have found the cottage to be a delightful home from home!
Perfect location and perfect cottage. Right next to the local pub (but far enough away so no noise), hot tub was private and cottage is a little gem! Will definitely be back.
We did not use our car at all while we were there. Plenty of different walks locally which we enjoyed. The play park off mill lane was lots of fun and we rounded off each day with a hot tub. We had a meal at the crown which we all enjoyed. I think it’s important to note that if you have small children you need to think about sleeping arrangements. The twin room is up one flight of stairs off the living room and the double room is up a different spiral staircases off the dining room. Although we were only one wall away it was a thick brick wall and we could not hear the children. It did make us slightly anxious about how quickly we would be able to get to the children if they needed us over night (or worst case scenario, something like a fire happened). Fortunately our 9 year old was able to come and find us if the 4 year old needed us but if the children were younger this could have been an issue. The single bedroom is directly above the twin room and up an open flight of stairs so sound travels between those two floors very readily. Also to note, the garden is not dog proof so if you have an excitable dog then this might not be the place for you. That all being said we did have a lovely time. Communication with the owners was great. We enjoyed the welcome hamper and the extra towels for using after the hot tub. The home made banana bread went down a treat and Bear (our dog) very much enjoyed his treats. They had the hot tub ready for our arrival which was fantastic.
The hot tub was brilliant and used every day, everything you needed in the kitchen, thank you for leaving cleaning things it helps a lot! The cottage was lovely but watch those stairs!
Its comfortable, very well equipped in every sense and full of quirky charm. Excellent location and friendly locals too. Spot on!
The cottage is full of character has excellent facilities and the hot tub was amazing. The immediate surroundings are both peaceful but have shopping facilities with a well stocked village shop and excellent nearby farm shop. The2 pubs are also easily accessible on foot. Key collection arrangements etc were all very straightforward.
I have never seen a holiday let with so many nooks and crannies AND a thatched roof so spotless. Guard her with your life, such priceless treasures are rarer than hens teeth!
Just back from a 3 night stay at this wonderful cottage with my husband , 16,14,9 year old children and dog. Everything about it was perfect and we loved how quirky this cottage was. Fully equipped kitchen , cupboard with board games to play , puzzles for the 9 year old and the hot tub was a massive hit too. The cottage was a 50 minute drive from Great Yarmouth and Southwold which were both dog friendly . The owner Pip was very friendly when I needed to drop a few texts asking for info.
The villagers are so friendly, highly recommend the crown pub for food. The cottage was well equipped, very clean and a great location.
The cottage is quirky and very well equipped. The hot tub was fantastic and the village of Pulham Market has a shop which is 200 metres from the cottage, and brilliant walks. We thoroughly enjoyed the week and it is now on our list of cottages that we have the pleasure of staying in. Thankyou Pip for the wine and the doggie treats and thankyou again for the use of Yr cottage, we will be back.
Everything we needed was supplied and even some extras. The stairs were awkward but we got used to them. It would be prudent to make it very obvious on the advert that elderly or people with mobility issues would not manage the stairs. The hot tub was absolutely brilliant! We will definitely go back one day,
It is quirky, tastefully decorated and within driving distance of local attractions. Pip the owner has been so helpful. On arrival we got a bottle of wine and some cake which was a lovely gesture. We particularly enjoyed using the hot tub. We had a lovely meal at the local pub the crown and a very tasty BBQ with meat bought from a local farm shop called Goodies food hall. Pulham is a really quaint village. Really pleased, thanks for a great holiday x
Fab hot tub! Great location for exploring Norfolk and Suffolk.
